THOUGHT | replace fear of the unknown with curiosity

All images via google images

Considering a real change in the hair departement .. After going from blonde to red and finally a bright wine color (seen here and here), I'm taking the leap to a pinkish, purple'ish red or vermillion (haven't worked out the details yet, I might try some different colors) .. Some research taught me that Special Effects, Directions or Manic Panic hair dye should do the job quite nicely, but as I won't be bleaching my hair first (it's dead enough already) its still a guess how it will turn out.

Unnatural hair colors have been around for a while now, but I don't know many people (except for some punk-influenced friends who are rocking a mohican) in 'real life' that have ever taken the plunge. Just something to think about ..

Going to order the hair dye in a few days, I will plunge, soon! ;)

OUTFIT | your sister remember

Ph. my dad
Twin skirts | h&m
Brick red knit, white tee, bag and wedges | h&m
Converse All Stars (seen here)
Leopard scarf | street market
Leather jacket | Zara Woman (old)
Necklaces | both vintage

The skirt with blue and nude stripes was already mine since Poland (more about my trip here, here and here), but back in Belgium I couldn't resist buying its twin sister in black and white as well. Both are very versatile and I have worn them several times already, the price (a mere 5 euros) only adds up to their charm.

FINDS | clicked home

Images via Asos.com

Couldn't skip on Asos' final shoe sales today, and since a girl can never have too many black strappy sandals or flat worker boots, I couldn't resis on clicking these babies home. With them, I expect one 'surprise' pair on my doormat in less than a week. I couldn't get an image since Asos cut it from their website just ten minutes ago, when I bought them (yep, that 'wow-feeling' of the final pair :)). I think you'll have already seen them before though, they've been quite the succes, but I always thought they were too expensive, untill now that is (how I love sales!) ..

Three bargains at once, guess I must be an official shopaholic now ..

After leopard, there's now one of the biggest FW2011 newcomers: snakeskin. The good news is you don't have to wait to rock this trend until the sun goes on vacation, it can already sn(e)ak(e) into your summer wardrobe. There are snakeskin printed dresses and tops, snakeskin clutches and shoes .. Snakeskin is litteraly everywhere. Watch the celebreties and learn, you will look amazing!

MU | in the make up bag

h&m aztec pouch - catrice base coat and nail polish - vaseline lip treatment - catrice lip stain - maybelline collosal volume mascara - gosh kohl pencil in purple - gosh liquid liners in gold, silver and purple - covergirl powder finish foundation

With this post I want to share with you some products I'm very fond of.

Vaseline lip treatment, Covergirl foundation and Maybelline mascara are basics since - well - forever (I tend to need another mascara every two to three months, but I always use Maybelline, as I think their price and quality are both amazing). The Catrice polishes are also regulars in my beauty case, actually I rarely use other brands these days because Catrice provides a very wide range of colors, while you often only need one layer for proper coverage and they are just cheap as hell.

Other products, like Catrice lip stain and Gosh liquid liners are more recent discoveries. I can strongely recomment these liners to you, as they are really great and VERY waterproof (the modest statement on the packaging is right about that) and they come in about a zillion wonderful colors. The only downside is the brush that's inside the product, it is too long, too thin and too bendable, so my advise is to always use a proper liner brush to get a satisfying result.

OUTFIT | warrior nor poet

Dress | h&m
Crochet waistcoat | New Look

Nail | Catrice
Bangle | shop in Poland

Summer is very reluctant here in Belgium (as it has been for a while througout the entire European continent now), so bare legs always need to be compensated with long(er) sleeves. This is exactely what makes this h&m relic (face it, it's from three seasons ago, but I won't stop wearing it, EVER!) a much loved item in my wardrobe. I've always had a soft spot for long sleeved mini dresses, and I know a good one is hard to find, so I cherish this gem and its beautiful tribal-like print. I made it more summer proof by adding a fringed crochet waistcoat and neon orange nails.
