When I saw these plastic guitar earrings on the Maze webshop, I was instantly hooked. However, before spending another twenty-five euros, I decided to try to make them myself first. I immediatly thought about cutting a guitar shape out of sheer schrink foil, and this is the result. They are not at all perfect, because after baking for a few seconds, my guitars curled up like crazy so I had to straighten them in the oven (I've got burns to prove). Finally they didn't came out as planned, they ended a little 'melted down' but I think they look quite futuristic and Dali-esque now, which is fine by me.

If you plan to make these as well, please follow the instructions on the schrink paper wrapping, but don't leave your guitars in the oven for minutes, stay with them so you can 'rescue' them if needed. I would love to see your takes on the matter. Or, you could still buy them here ..
